The abundance of natural Green Quartz in Brazil and Poland, one of the world's largest producers of cut and polished gemstone, has made these stones a staple in today's jewelry market. Green Quartz is often heat treated to enhance color and clarity. Since 1950, almost all natural Green Quartz has come from a small Brazilian mine. Today, almost all natural Green Quartz comes from the Lower Silesia region of Poland, where it is handcut into beads and cabochons.
